Plain terms for a small product. tenantcheck is operated by Augeo LLC.
The SQL file in the public repository is MIT licensed. Use it, change it, run it as often as you like, forever, for nothing. It is provided as is and without warranty, which is the standard MIT position and also the honest one: it is a static analysis tool and it can be wrong in both directions. The repository documents the known limits.
You pay, we agree how the audit is run, and you get a written document naming the findings, ranking them, and saying what to fix first. Turnaround is normally two working days from the point where we can actually read your schema.
Refund: if you are not satisfied with the document, say so within 14 days and we refund it in full. No argument and no form to fill in. If we have not delivered the document at all, the refund is automatic on request at any time.
A weekly re-check, with the result emailed to you including the weeks when nothing has changed. The dated history is the thing you are paying for.
Cancel any time, from the link in any of those emails or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro rate part of a month. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
What happens to your record if you cancel: we keep it for 30 days in case you come back, then delete it. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
Refund on a subscription: if you cancel within 7 days of a charge and have not received a weekly result in that period, we refund that charge.
We do not promise that your database is secure. We promise to tell you what we found and to be honest about what the method cannot see. Static analysis cannot prove the absence of a leak, and anybody who tells you otherwise is selling something. The audit narrows the question and the weekly record shows whether the answer changed.
We are not your lawyers and this is not a compliance certification. If an auditor or a customer asks you for a formal attestation, this is evidence you can hand them, not a substitute for the attestation itself.
If you choose to have us run the audit directly, we will agree the access method with you in writing first, we use the narrowest credential that does the job, and we destroy it when the work is done. You can also run the harness yourself and send us only the output, which is the option we recommend and the one most people take.
Our total liability for anything arising out of this service is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. That is not us being clever, it is the only honest position for a product at this price.
If these terms change we will update this page and date it. If a change materially affects a paying subscriber, we will email them before it takes effect.
